I never paid attention to this until today, but aren't all USB ports on the M17x R4 systems SUPERSPEED USB 3.0 ports, and have the little SS mark above each port? In my M17x R4, only the left sides have the marks, and the other sides do not. Does anybody else have this happen to them?

Yes on a m17x r4 system all USB ports have the SS on all ports left and right. Hope this helps. Did you buy a refurb model? If so they can use refurb parts and sense the r3 an r4 have the same chassis design, in theory they could use the r3 chassis to build a refurb r4.

If you get annoyed by this, I think you can pm a rep here and see what they can do for you. It does not matter if it is a refurb model or not, you clearly bought a R4 model and you are entitled to this. Just so you know, mine is a refurb model and it has the SS marks on both side.

I Just received my r4 this Friday. I did not know that they use r3 case for r4. I'll check it when I'm home.

other than those marks, the chassis should be identical. I personally wouldn't worry about it, but if it does bother you that much give tech support a call and go from there. :)

My M17x R4 is a refurb, I just didn't think they would use M17x R3 casing on an R4 though

Cool, you have the correct casing. yeah, they are all high speed (USB 3.0). This uses the sata 3 hardware on the chipset. The chipset supports 6 sataIII ports. With the two primary drive bays, that's the lot :)

Yeah. This system is fast, but my gpu is hot when idling( around 57-60C). My gpu is 7970m.

thats pretty normal I think? depends on the fan speed table, and if its similar to the r3 it doesn't get to aggressive till you get past 70C or so.

If you repaste it, the temp will go down like 2-3C.

Gotta agree. Although a different gpu mine idles between 51-60. At 60 the fan starts on it's lowest setting and switches off at 51 (fan table) :)

I know that. I cant hear the fan when idling, but the gpu has never passed 71C under gaming.
