I sow a thread about the new Msi laptop, how they could get the cpu to stay at max 62 degrees and gpu at 70 degrees during 3dmark score....mine almoust it reaches 55 degress idle

That is pretty cool, pun intended. It appears that their CPU is cooled by BOTH fans, as they share a heat sink pipe. This is a pretty neat idea, and appears to work, but I wonder how it will limit overclocking.
Alienware, shockingly enough, did not change cooling in their systems from the previous generation to the new generation. I'm not sure why. They should have come up with some new innovative design. But, I'm not one to complain. I'm satisfied with how it cools. My 4930MX @ 4.1GHz idles around 45C and never reaches 90C during benchmarks with IC Diamond. -

on load, CPU is about 70°C and GPU 80°C, also with 3D Mark.
Good thing is it doesn't reach 90°C in any case.
I had a few spikes to 90 playing a few hours Crysis 3, but most of the time the temperature was around ~80-82°C.
It was probably just a reading problem. -
Is it just me or did the GT72 actually ripoff the Aliennware design?
