    Disable mousepad when a mouse is present

    Is there a way to configure the laptop so this behavior can be automatic.

    Control Panel -> mouse -> mouse properties (change mouse settings) -> device settings -> Disable internal pointing device when external USB...

    Thats on windows 8, I imagine its the same on windows 7.

    It's an option in Alienware Command Center.

    I'd tell you where exactly, but mine is torn apart at the moment.

    Ahh found it - Alienware Command Center > AlienTouch - faster way to do it, though I don't know why you'd ever want to re-enable that nonsense!

    I use my touchpad rather regularly. I disable it manually when I have to. (Fn+F12)
