When I put my palms on the rest near the trackbar, (you know, the typing position) I hear a flimsy sounding crick...as if the computer isnt screwed together tightly enough. I can lightly press on it and hear and feel that noise...anyone else have this problem or is this normal?

It feels and sounds very hollow...nothing like my m11x. The m11x was firm and never made a crick noise when I went to type.

that's not normal, is the mediabar tightly screwed in place (the plastic frame surrounding the keyboard)? that's the only instance i've heard any "cricking" noise and it's easy to fix by tightening the screws on the frame

I think I found out where this is coming from. It appears the batter is right underneath the trackpad and palm rests and is somewhat loose. Its shaking just a tad, I dont know if this is intended since its a removal battery. It doesnt really fall out or mess with the computer, it only makes a crick sound when I put pressure on the palm rest. Anyone else's M17 do this?

mines always been pretty loose. I have heard of some people putting in some cardboard as filler so it fits tighter though I haven't done that myself yet. Maybe it will fix your issue. :)

Ugh..I pay almost $2000 for a computer, I would hope it comes to me the way it should without me having to fix it up :/

its not a game breaker but it is very annoying when I go to use the keyboard and I hear it crick like an old door in an old house lol.
