Do you think I could tack on a 360?

I recently bought a m17x and it's in production now. (See specs in sig)

I bought it for $1,834 with tax, which I was able to do by providing a 20% coupon. Please don't PM me how, it was a one time use thing through my school.

Anyway, I bought though a US EPP rep, and he said I could not get both the Xbox 360 and the 20% off coupon. So for the time, I just said go ahead and just use the 20% off. Now looking back, I really wish I could have got both which brings me to my question.

After I receive my laptop, do you think there's anyway that I could possibly call and complain enough about it that they would send me one? I'd rather do it nicely and politely ask, but that never seems to work with Dell.

Any help/tips on how I could call later and receive that 360 would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I don't think so, I remember on the forum someone said he had to cancel and re-order to get the 360 or a 2% discount.

Your biggest problem is your coupon is now void after using it.

When I worked for Dell (In the US) we had a department called SRS which basically is sale retention, i.e you get your computer, not happy with it and would call in to return in you would get shunted to SRS and they would negotiate with you to keep your computer. i.e some money back, maybe a carry case, that might be an option to you.

However SRS is now outsourced to Panama from what i believe.

I called awhile ago to cancel my order, switching from a 6970 to 6990 but I didn't say I was reordering.

I got transferred and some Indian dude offered me $75 credit to keep the order, but then I told him I just planned to reorder...

I think what I'll do is after I get the laptop, call and say I want to return. I'd be happy to settle with $50-100 credit and a carrying case.
