To make a Very long story just Long im cutting out 75% of the bull I went through with dell. I ordered an M17x R3 with 3d and a 2720QM along with a 750gig HDD and bought myself 16gigs of HyperX, Then the issues with dell started. I am the CEO of a new Mobile Game dev company and needed this for a presentation on a game we are working on, I figured ordering a month in advance would suffice and ordered this laptop because
1) needed a laptop for the presentation
2) Ive always wanted an alienware
3) My company paid for it
Dell gave me the run around for a month on when I would receive my order and then today they hit the last straw and told me my order was being pushed back almost 2 weeks, now I had to postpone the presentation which wasn't a huge deal but still pissed me off, I could have scheduled better if dell had just told me it would take longer.
I was so pissed I settup an order with a reseller for a Sager system with a 485M that I was going to complete right after I called Dell to cancel but was extremely dissapointed that I was going to not get my alienware, theyre gimmicky with all the lights and 3d and crap I dont need, but I still like it, its fun, plus the sager dsnt have a lit keyboard at all.
I called Dell to cancel and the guy in india started apologizing and saying he was going to offer to make me a whole new system setup with a much better price, I had heard this crap before and let him waste his time so he could tell me I can save $30 with his new setup. after me being on hold for a bit he came back and started naming off the specs of an even more expensive system, I let him finish and hung up, the price he quoted for the specs seemed bogus, so I called and this time asked to speak with US sales, I got them on the phone and told the guy who was very polite the price, he simply couldn't understand how it was even possible for the discount I was quoted, after about 20min of looking and checking he couldnt figure it out and got his manager. the manager said he dosent know how the indian rep managed to get the discount but it was valid and as part of my fustration with dell that manager(US manager) offered to overlook my systems production to have the build process expedited and Overnighted to me after it was done, he also said that US team would handle my case so I never had to speak with india again
Below is the Specs I got and how much it cost, let me know what ya think and if it is as amazing of a deal as the rep and manager said, they both said they have never seen such an extensive discount on a system.

they also said once I receive the shipment they will be upgrading my warranty to include the US tech support service so I really never haveto speak with someone in India again, which is where most of the BS i dealt with came from.
