    Does the m17xr3 with radeon 6990 support switchable graphics?

    I know it works with the 6870 and 6970 but does it still work with the 6990?

    What exactly switchable graphic is? Does it switch graphic processes to cpu when not playing games?

    you hit Fn F7 to toggle between ati card and intel...makes your battery go from 1.5 hrs to 4ish

    Well thats pretty badazz then i7 quad core + 6990m. Desktop replacement performance and still able to get 3.5-4 hours battery life when needed.

    Yep, it's pretty awesome. And Dell's the only one to implement high-performance GPUs with switchable graphics. The rest of the competition (Asus/Clevo/Acer/MSI/HP) either don't have high-performance GPUs or don't have switchable graphics.

    Also, I was able to get around 5.5 hours of battery life while browsing the web on my R3 (max power saving mode, dimmest screen setting).
