    Hi
Just been using the new Hwinfo and i see it does gpu clock speeds now .... was just running 3d Mark06 and then noticed the gpu clocks on the slave card are a lot slower than the primary card in the MAX column ... is this normal ?
I haven't noticed any gaming problems and im using the stock Dell drivers from the Dell site .
I am running Ati 4870 in crossfire .
Just wandering if this is normal .

    Thanks

That is not normal for the 5k series, you have the 4k serie, but it should not be any different.

Both my cards run at 700/1000. Call Dell and tell them you want new gpus. You will probably be upgraded to 5870m crossfire

    Thanks for the reply .
Unfortunately i only had one 4870 in the machine when i bought it , i purchased the secondary card myself so i doubt dell would replace that one because i put it in myself .
Is there any other way i can test this other than 3d mark06 ?
Or would Dell replace the second hand card i bought from someone on here ?

Dell will not replace aftermarket parts.
Here are a set of benchmarks and game tests for 4870m crossfire AMD ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4870 X2 (Crossfire) - Notebookcheck.net Tech . Test your cards on some of those tests, the performance should be very close to the benchmark tests.

This could be a problem with your motherboard/crossfire cable. I would try to switch place on the cards, and see if it is still the same.

    Hi
Ive ran 3d mark 06 again and scored 13447 .
Is this a good score for a stock system .
Possibly low score because i only have an I5 processor . The gpu clock on the second card still looks low but maybe this is a glitch with HWinfo .
I guess im just worried that something may not be right .
Should i try the new 11.4 drivers ?

That score is perfectly normal for dual 4870m. I do not think you have a problem with your cards now, because that is a 100% normal score.

HWiNFO32 is showing incorrect info. If your clock speeds would have been that low, you would not even break 10k.

About the drivers, I would leave it as it is.

Enjoy your computer and have a nice day!

Gpu-z seems to show the correct clock speeds so this may be a glitch with HWinfo i suppose

If gpu-z show the correct clocks, then hwinfo32 is wrong. The benchmark score was splendid for those cards
