In case you didn't know you can download the WebCam and Roxio for M17xR3 at

    https://smartsource.dell.com/web/main.aspx

You can also get to this page by going to your "My Account" page and clicking on "Download Factory Installed Software (My Dell Downloads)" link.

    Hey,

A just formatted my HDD and I can't find the software for my webcam. My system is an Alienware m17 x R3. I tried, as you said, to download the software from the dell support site but i can't get pass that page where you have to register your system. That service tag scanning utility doesn't work. Can you help me with this problem? How can i get pass that page and start downloading my software.

Use Internet Explorer for registration and scanning utility. Always have 3 browsers in your comp. Hahahaa....IE , Firefox and Chrome. I use Chrome by default but for these scanning purposes always use IE.

I think I had to restore internet explorer to defaults / reset it by going to Tools>Internet Options>Advanced>Reset because of some prior choices I had made that interefered with it working.
