The crappy Dell Drivers team has done this since more than a week now as they are moving everything to a new site. Even on my Alienware 18 most the drivers are missing

here is the full page of all the drivers not pertaining to one's service tag but all the drivers in general, pick carefully only the stuff related to your laptop like the WLAN as it has all the WLAN drivers not the ones for your laptop specifically but the drivers are the same.

It also includes older and newer drivers to make sure you get the latest ones by checking the version numbers

thanks Dell for your crappy service and support:

ok thanks, any idea what Wireless Driver and Bluetooth driver I need? There is loads of them and its confusing!

Intel 802.11n/ac Wireless and Bluetooth 4.0 driver is what I can see on my original quote I go from the rep who sold the machine to me.

I've attached a thumbnail of my device list.

No, why would you need them? you already showed me that you have an Intel WLAN+Bluetooth card, those drivers are for laptops that ship with other cards like Broadcom, Qualcomm, etc. you only want the drives I showed you plus the other basics like intel HM87 driver for the chipset, IRST, Intel Management Engine Interface, Card Reader, VGA, audio, etc.

Dell took out the unnecessary drivers because win 8.1 carry them by default.
win 8.1 drivers are more updated and better in most instance.

no, Dell took them out as they are doing a transition to their new site

Windows drivers are generic drivers made to work on the majority of PCs and do not include any OEM optimizations.

I would never let Windows install any driver! not even the driver for my external USB drive!

so you're saying that the Windows update VGA drivers are better than the nVIDIA drivers for example? *eye roll*

The USB 3.0 driver is better, for example. MS video driver are whql driver from amd or nvidia. They maybe a few month old, but that doesn't make them better or worse.

Why use older graphic drivers if you can get newer or better from Nvidia or Amd ? Close driver downloads from windows update. It's Garbage..
