Ok so i have an m17x R2 with dual ati 4870's and for some reason i have hardly any resolution options... The only 1.6 ratio(width/height) options i have are 1920*1200 and 1280*800. This is utter crap because i could get better frame rates at lower resolutions but i dont wanna go all the way down to 1280*800.. my two favorite resolutions are 1680*1050 and 1440*900. It is especially important to me because the way my desk is set up requires my laptop screen to be about three feet away from my face comfortably so 1920*1200 makes some things very hard to read. That is of course a whole nother issue outside of gaming.

Have you tried updating/reinstalling the video drivers?
My system with 4870's and RGB LED has the 1680x1050 and 1440x900 options.

well the computer Originally did not have the option for those resolutions. I updated the drivers to the 10.7a because apparently those are the drivers to get to play SC2 which i am currently playing so i got those drivers and still no options for those resolutions.. what driver version do you have? or anyone else who has those options available?
