Parents just picked me up a 42inch 720p plasma. It doesn't have a vga port, and it only has hdmi :/ Is there a inexpensive way to do this. Is it possible to do hdmi to hdmi on the m17x to the tv?

Yes an HDMI-HDMI cable is what you need. HDMI will looks way better than VGA anyway.
