Hi All,
I spoke with a rep from Zagg that make the invisible shield about getting them to make one for the R3. The rep told me to contact the department via email to put in a request. She also said that if they receive enough demand there is a greater likelihood of them making it. I urge everyone who is interested in protecting their M17x laptops to contact Zagg requesting that they make one for the M17x and especially the R3 with it's soft-touch finish. In my email I did include images of one person's R3 showing the peeling that has occurred. Hopefully we can get it made so we can protect our machines. To email your request for a Zagg invisible shield I have included their email below:

Already did it and even contacted some of their execs that I know from a TMobile store I managed when they first started up. Their corporate headquarters are about 30mins away from me in SLC Utah

Sounds interesting, where do I sign?
Oh yeah, do they make matte screen protectors? I'd kill to rid myself of this gloss. I mean, I'm handsome and all, but I'm starting to feel narcissistic with all the time I end up spending looking at my own reflection. -

They did make one for the M11x so heres hoping they make one for the R3.

Yeah I do hope they make one soon for the R3. We need to protect that finish and prevent fingerprints and oil from getting all over it.

I am just following up to see if anyone has emailed Zagg to request a invisible shield for the M17x R3. Let me know you have and hopefully they will make it. Cheers.

Will it even stick to the soft touch? I have an M11x r1 without soft touch and it has the invisible shield on it. I love the invisible shields.

I would think it would stick to the R3 because the invisible shield has an adhesive backing. You would just have to make sure the surfice is really clean.
