I searched the threads and couldn't find the answers I needed. I tried contacting Dell Technical Support to ask the simple question and they want me to pay for a software warranty when they can't even confirm if it can be done. Alienware's customer service has gone to **** since Dell took over. Maybe someone here can help me.

    1. Is it possible to enable Num Lock (Number lock) on by default on the M17x R3. It's annoying to have to re-enable it every-time I reboot. I couldn't find the setting in the BIOS. Maybe I need to configure the Alienware software?
    2. Is it possible to have opening the laptop lid wake the computer from sleep, vs having to push the power button.

    Thank you in advanced!!

UPDATE: I kind of did a work-around. I forced hibernation instead of shutdown when I close the lid using the Alienware software, which kind of solves both my problems.

    1) Perhaps autohotkey to enable numlock when loading windows, look into that maybe

    2) You can set closing lid to do nothing, it just turns off the screen. Not sure if that's what you're looking for, but that's what I do
