About two weeks ago my Expresscard port stopped working. It happened right after I flashed to the A10 custom bios. I figured I'd live for it for a while to see if it would fix itself. It hasn't.
It is detected and operational in the device manager and I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers. I also tried flashing back to the A10 Dell bios. That didn't work. I flashed it again to the Custom Bios and it still didn't work. Does anyone have any ideas?

Are you sure that it's not a ribbon or cable? Just double checking.
When you flashed back to the Dell BIOS did you select "Load default BIOS settings" in BIOS? Try that first.
Some of the blocks won't get flashed unless you brick your BIOS chip or you attempt a crisis recovery even though you didn't brick it.
When performing a crisis recovery, it's assumed that your BIOS is bricked so every block will get flashedand not skipped.
I hope you come back with good news! -
Hey aarpcard,
As a method to determine why my video card crossfire isn't working I installed the modded bios for A10. I have an expresscard that I can throw in and see if it works.
I'll run a test and see what happens
Expresscard port not working w/ custom bios.
