    Alienware tactx is a good keyboard with gaming features....any gaming keyboard should work though - the only real reason i went for the taxtx is because its the same "look" as the m17x obviously, and its cool to have both my keyboards lit up with matching colours (note: there are only two colour zones on the tactx....all the keys have to be the same colour but you can specify that the media buttons across the top are another colour)

    Just my two pennies.....

    Nearly all computers made in the last 12-14 years have USB ports on them. USB is a universal port that has no distinctions on what can be plugged into it. If you get ANY keyboard with a USB port on it, then it will work with your Alienware.

    When gaming on the notebook i only use the notebooks keyboard itself. Works great for me.
    On my desktop i have the G19. great keyboard
