I have couple issue with my external i display setup...

    Problem one:
I have two external monitors hooked to my M17Xr1 system for development. Every time I restart the pc I have to go to the nvida control panel open the laptop lid and close it. It then disables the laptop screen and activates my second external monitor. I then have to re-move all my gadgets to the second screen. This is tiresome. Is there a way to disable the laptop screen so that it thinks external display 1 is my primary monitor?

    Problem two:
Is there a way to show the boot screen on external monitors?

Hybrid graphics is disabled in the bios.

    Thanks!

I found the solution to problem 1.

DO NOT SETUP anything in the nvidia control panel. Do it like this:

    1: Right click desktop

    2: Click screen resolution

3: Set the primary monitor by clicking the 1,2, or 3 icon and checking the "make this my main display" option if it's not already your main display

4: Select which display you want inactive by clicking the 1,2,or 3 icons and changing the multiple displays option to "disconnect this display"

5: Select order of displays by dragging the icons around. This will allow you to choose which way the monitor extends. To the left or the right. Make sure to line them up evenly or you won't be able to move the mouse over to the next screen in certain spots.

6: Click apply and then ok. Now your monitor settings will actually be saved on a reboot!
