    Hi, to setup eyefinity on my Alienware M17x R2 (2x5870), can i use

    Monitor 1 - HDMI ti HDMi cable
    Monitor 2 - VGA to HDMI cable
    Monitor 3 - Displayport to HDMI cable

    Crossfire is on and working, I have tried the set
    Up with a via, hdmi and the laptop screen but cannot activate the third

    You need screen which has a display port, thats the requirement to have the 3rd screen, as far as i know a normal adapter isnt good enough, have heard that an active dvi to display port adapter works but Im not really sure what that is,or how it works, a quick Google on eyefinity and display port/adapters should enlighten you
