Hi all. I recently picked up an active Displayport to DVI adapter from Accell so I can run three external monitors side by side and get Eyefinity going. Everything seems to work, got the monitors grouped and displaying correctly and I can choose Eyefinity resolutions in several games including NFS Hot Pursuit and Eve.

However, in several other games that I own I'm hitting a problem. When I choose an Eyefinity resolution, only the top inch or so of the screen renders correctly. The rest of the screen is a smear of the last drawn horizontal line from the top stretching all the way to the bottom of the screen. I tried to capture this in Fraps but it doesn't show up so I took a photo of what I'm describing. What should look like this:

    Looks like this:

This occurs in Crysis 2, Fable 3, Fallout NV and even a few of the games that work correctly depending on what resolutions I choose.

I'm running an m17x r2 with a 920xm es, dual 5870s. I'm running the 11.6 driver but with the CCC from 11.5 because the 11.6 CCC just comes up as a blank window on my system.

    Thanks in advance.

Sorry. I'm using proper NAT on my internal network so I can't see what posts that contain links back into my own network look like after I post them. I've corrected the image sizes so they shouldn't be so obtrusive.

    Thanks.

Alot of people lately have complanied their 11.6 is having problems. Try reverting fully to the 11.5 and see if it helps.

Got a good location for proper 11.5 bits? I've tried installing a few times but for each copy that I've gotten if CCC wasn't already installed from a previous version then 11.5 doesn't give me the option to install it. Is that normal behavior or are my 11.5 bits funky?

I completely dumped all the ATI software and started over with the last official Dell release. That appears to have fixed the problem, so I'll slowly incrementally update back up to 11.5 through upgrades one component at a time. Thanks for the tip. Hopefully they'll fix the various issues that 11.6 seems to be having.

Okay, . Still running 11.4, nothing has changed except for I've unplugged and replugged this laptop into the displays and now the glitch is occurring again. Any other suggestions as to what this might be?

    Thanks.

Hmmm, uninstalling and reinstalling the driver fixes the problem for a while. Not the best fix but at least it's a functional workaround. Clearly this is a software issue.
