    Hi guys!

Recently I've been watching a lot of threads regarding eyefinity, and my attention has been caught on this amazing feature!
I'd like to have a 3 screen setup running on my M17x! I've seen videos on YouTube where the M17x should be running eyefinity, but since those guys doesn't even show the machine in those videos, they don't proove anything. So my big question is:

Is it possible to run eyefinity on the M17x with the VGA, Hdmi and displaypport outputs? Have some of you guys tried it?

I really want to know if it's possible :) I can't effort a desktop, and really had no plans on getting one either since I bought the M17x to be a desktop replacement and a lanparty computer.

    Thanks in advance! :)

Yes you can. The 5870m's support Eyefinity. Only in DisplayPort though to my knowledge.

I take it your FPS would drop to about 1/3 assuming all setting are the same, due to the inscreased horizontal resolution?

Would you use 1 display over HDMI and 2 on displayport? Or would all three work over displayport?

As I know, you have to use all three display outputs - VGA, HDMI and Displayport to get eyefinity. I was just unsure if it was possible on the M17x to achieve this awesomeness! :D

Yeah - I've been thinking about the FPS aswell.. It wouldn't be good.. At the moment I do only play WoW though, so it shouldn't be a problem if I adjust some of the settings.

Some time in the future I'll have to get an desktop, but now my M17x is a 'keeper' untill it falls apart :)

So that other connection is a display port, huh? I learned something today.

Hi, and thanks for your post!
This sounds so good! I saw that post a couple weeks ago, but I can see the numbers of replies have increased a lot since then :)
Now that my theory on Eyefinity on the M17x has been confirmed, I can start experiment with the setup. I'll probably try to borrow 3 screens (with the same resolution) to see if the M17x can handle games in Eyefinity, and the tremendiously large resolution :)
If this works as I expect it to, I have plans on getting 3 x Dell U2311, which seems like a good screen that doesn't empty your pockets completely ;)

Not to rain on anyone's parade but be aware that you must disable CrossfireX to use Eyefinity on the M17x.

    Just saying...

I do already know that :) But now that Eyefinity is not that new anymore, ATI will hopefully 'fix' that soon. Would be even better with crossfire support :D
