    Hey guys,

I've been lurking a lot ever since I bought a used M17x R1 off craigslist. He posted it for a ridiculous price that I couldn't pass up. Usually when something is too good to be true, it usually is. Anyways, I was trying to play some games and I was wondering why I could only see my Nvidia 9400m and not a GTX 260/280. So I pressed FN+F7 to switch over, the computer restarted and now it's a black screen. There's no beep, even when I start it without being plugged in. I can use FN+F12 and that works, but nothing else. I can't get into BIOS, or anything. I then assume it's a faulty GPU, so I open up my m17x and what do I see??? 2 empty GPU slots. So my question is, can I switch it back over somehow without adding a GPU? I will eventually add it but spent most my funds on something else. I just need it to work to keep my sanity.. It's just really hard to find a GTX 280 or a 5870 for a good price that works, unless there's another alternative.

Thanks in advance guys I'm a total noob right now.

Perhaps if you removed the CMOS battery for 10 minutes or so it might reset back to the onboard card. However it may not it really depends on the default bios option.

    Side note
M17xR1 does not support 5870m as far as i know, 4870m is max

Correct not by default. It will not be plug in play unless they changed this in bios which I highly doubt.
