I've been having this problem for quite a while now and looking for a fix here.

I have a m17x r3 and my fps drops and stutters when I plug in on certain games. This usually happens on lower end games.
List of games it occurs - Torchlight 2. I go from 80+ (unplugged) and constant stutters 20-60(plugged)
    DOTA2. I go from max settings 1080p 40-60(unplugged) to about 20-60(plugged in)
Dustforce the same, SOLDAT, Fly'n, Giana Sisters, every PixelJunk game and a few more I can't remember ..

Does not occur in League of legend just as a point to compare to DOTA 2. Don't notice it playing any Touhou, EXCEED, or Fractal. So it's not like every low end game..
Doesn't occur during any high end game like Witcher 2, DIRT 3, etc etc.

List of things I've tried -
    - I've checked my power settings.. unplugged is on balanced, plugged in is all performance.
    - I've tried lowering my plugged in settings to match my balanced power settings.
    - Switching to Intel GPU when plugged in. (I think this helped a little but I can't remember, I'll mess with this again I guess)
    - Lowering the graphic options (disabling aa, ao, shadows etc etc, fps still stutters except maybe a bit higher like 25-60)

I think I tried a few other things I can't remember but yea I can't just keep playing these games unplugged with this babies 2hour life cycle, lol.
    Any help appreciated, thx ahead.
