Got off the phone today with a Dell rep, and he said that the M17xR3 does qualify for the xbox student deal. Just lettin you guys now :)

On the other hand, I forgot to ask about the 10% off that MS is offering as an alternative, so if anybody wants to check that out, give it a shot!

I am 75% sure it does not. The reason is because you have to purchase a NEW computer. And microsoft sells its OS for every newly created laptops.

Best thing to do is call up the Outlet. But I can probably say they will say no.

Please let us know if you hear from them!

I contacted a Dell rep about the xbox deal after I purchased my M17x. He said that in order to qualify for the deal you need to select a certain configuration to qualify and unfortunately I did not. Oh well. Doesn't really matter to me. It was just an added bonus to getting an Alienware.

No way are they giving you a free 360 on outlet lappys no matter how much you spend on them.

Personally I heard some rumors about windows 8 having xbox support built in. That would interest me alot more...but I dont think its actually possible or that likely.
