    Hi all

I had a BSOD yesterday and so did a reboot and once the Laptop had started up it seemed really slow. Checking the taskbar i saw that the 'Intel Matrix storage console' was running and checking my disks.

I left it running as i thought it was just doing a checkdisk kind of thing, but when i checked back later i had an error message saying one of the HDD's had failed.
I had to go out last night so i turned it off and checked again this morning and finding the Intel program i opened it up to see the attached.

The machine is only about a month old, is there any way to fix it or is it a proper dead HDD and if so what should i do?
It's a mirrored setup so the Laptop still functions and i haven't lost anything (yet) but obviously i want it running correctly.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

    Setup:
    M17x-R2, i7 720QM, 4GB, 2x320gb in RAID 1 (mirrored) HD4870

best idea and I had this happen with my system. Use respawn cd scan disk reboot the computer with the respawn cd in and it will do some test and the last test will be the hard drives. record the Error code and call Alienware.

Or it going to be I have a failed disk. They will go ok can you scan it and give us the error code please.
