    Hello,

I had to do a clean install on my M17x-R3 and after installing all the drivers as documented in a previous thread, I am noticing that my fan is always on.
    Has anybody experienced this before?

    Thanks for looking

Could you be a little more specific?

What drivers were you installing? What are your system specs? What do you mean by "all the time"? It it at the same level while it's on, or does it get higher and lower?

    Thanks Serephucus.
    Here are the specs:
    Processor:
    Intel® Core™ i7 2670QM 2.2GHz (3.1GHz w/Turbo Boost, 6MB Cache)
    Memory: 16GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1600MHz (4DIMMS)
Video Card: 1.5GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M
Hard Drive: 256GB Solid State Drive
    Display Panel: 17.3-inch WideFHD1920 x 1080 60Hz WLED
    Wireless: Killer™ Wireless-N 1103 a/g/n 3x3 MIMO for Gaming & Video

Installed the drivers as per this thread.
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/ali...install-ssd-instructions-recommendations.html

Except for the video where I only installed the INTEL_--HD-GRAPHICS-3000_A02_R303343 driver, wasn't sure which other driver needed to install.

The noise level is the same, doesn't go higher or lower or off, just a constant noise.

    Thanks

Just wanted to update the thread.
Looks like my hard drive was causing this behavior.
    Once swamped all is good.
