So i got myself the m17xR3 with 6990m, here's my problem, well, problem, i'm not sure if you'd call it that, it's more of an information regarding qeustion, since im not sure about a few things.

So my laptop, when doing heavy things, such as games, make the fans go faster, wich isnt a problem ofcourse, and its suposed to, but whenever, i feel, more air comming out at the right side then i feel comming out on the left side. if your infront of the screen, is this normal, do you guys have this?..

There are 2 fans. 1 for your CPU and 1 for your GPU.

Kinda depends on the CPU/GPU load.

Bin a couple of months since my last R3 but I think the left fan is for the CPU and the right fan is for the GPU.

CPU is probably not being stressed that much. Run WEI, at some point it test the CPU and the fan should spin up. Or run the build in diagnostics at startup.

If I where you I would not worry about it.

Yes this is normal. The right fan is for the GPU and the left for the CPU. Both fans have a maximum speed of about 4100 RPM.
I use HWiNFO for a more aggressive fan control and the program gives the readings of the fans' speed. Usually when the fans rev up, the CPU fan spins slightly slower than the GPU fan.
However if the fans spin at max speed, the CPU fan will usually slowly catch up to the GPU fan to reach 4100 RPM at which point it will fluctuate between 3900 ~ 4100 RPM.

In addition to this, I believe that the GPU fan is slightly larger than the CPU fan.

See the attached picture. The arrows point to the max speed the fans reached since the program was opened and monitoring commenced.

edit: The second picture without the arrows shows when the CPU fan has caught up to the GPU fan after running at full speed for a while.

i also got a second qeustion, it's silly to open a new topic for it considering it's a small qeustion, why does my hwmonitor, or cpu-z, show my videocard as 6900m?.. and how can i see the specific series model, like 6990/6970m?..

I won't have HWMonitor installed anymore but both CPU-Z and HWiNFO shows my GPU as the specific model (460M). Not sure about this. Maybe give HWiNFO a try?

Thats normal because of the way AMD does their drivers I think. I have the same issue with mine, but I am 100% sure I have a 6990m because of how it preforms. ;)
