I know this is a wrong forum, but slow response from that forum put me here.

OK, the original shipping date for my m17x r3 from dell was 9/9/11. They changed it to 8/31, which is today.

However, the status is stuck at:
8/28, shipment information sent to FedEx.

I have FedEx Home Delivery-Indirect (couldn't resist free...)

Is there a chance in hell that I would get my laptop by the end of today or even tomorrow? If not, when?

I first thought it might be because of Hurricane Irene, but the shipment information was sent on 28th and they shoulda recovered by now...

Where are they shipping from, anyways? Why do they have to change the date if they are not gonna send the product quickly?

In my experience, the estimated delivery date from FedEx is usually pretty damn accurate. Even on my second order where it said "shipped on the 19th and the page didn't update to picked up until the 22nd and then was stuck on arrived in Ellenwood, Ga on till the 23rd, I was convinced it wouldn't arrive Gil the 26th, then out of no where the tracking update said "arrived in Ft Worth, Tx on the 24th and was in my hands later that day, so even when it looks like it will be wrong, usually they will get it there on time. dell's EDD on the other hand has never been right(first order it was a day off, 2nd order was about a week off).
