    Hi guys.
Cant remember the reason which make me touch the lid while i was working, the thing is that i can feel a rugosity on the left side of the lid when i touch it with the middle of my index finger, i thought it was kinda of static, and i think i am right, i've being testing if i get the same rugosity feeling while i am on battery or with the AC adaptor, and this only happens when i am using the AC charger . . . Someone have the same feeling to see if this is normal or should i call to dell right now ?

    Thanks

I used to get the same feeling with most things that were plugged into the electric supply when i was out in egypt.

i put it down to electric and lack of eathing.

back in UK with have 3 pin plugs and the problem never shows up

I plug this into a 3 pin power source, the problem still, so, i take my laptop to another house which i know there are properly grounded and this doesn't happen, so, the problem is my house which have not a properly grounded connection.

I got with the laptop the Delta Electronics Ac adapter, so, the problem is not which you mentioned before (i think so); i will make fix whole the house electricity installation but the problem will be not solved, cause on my country not all the place are properly grounded, what can i do for avoid this annoying shocks ? and is this normal to happen ?
Thanks and sorry if this is the same post than the other thread, please merge if so . .

You can drive a piece of re-bar into the ground at least a couple of feet. attach a wire to the piece of re-bar then connect that wire to the third prong on your pc or buy a outlet with the three prongs to wire up.

It happens to me in whole the house, and yes, its because these buildings are not properly grounded (Me pasa en todas partes por que no estan con polo a tierra, lleve la laptop a casa de un tio que tiene polo a tierra y nada de eso pasa incluso descalso :), tienes algun conector especial para llevarlo contigo ? por que esto pasara en cualquier parte sin polo a tierra )

Thats sounds kinda dangerous, but you're right, m trying to get a gadget able to do that by itself, but seems like this doesn't exist, at least it doesnt at my country; my solutions for now is install the grounded at my house, tomorrow some guy will came to do that, but, what about the other places where i go with my laptop (because is about portability isn't it ? ) ? Shoukd i tolerate the same thing ? i use other laptops before and never happens, is a really bad thing on this machine . . .

It is not dangerous at all the ground wire carry's no electricity. the guy who is coming tomorrow will most likely drive a metal stake in to the ground to hook ground to your electric system or he will clamp a ground wire to a water pipe that goes through the foundation of your home into the ground.

He will clamp a copper stick to the ground hooking my electricity supply, i got the stick also, is an 1.5 meters copper one . . . I will safe (i hope) at home, my concern is out of here anyway . . .

    Kinda offtopic:

I call to Dell support, they ask me to do a physical checkup on my machine, he ask me to turn off this and then press the FN key and then turn it on, and this will run some checks to see if my system is ok or not, i press the key but it went to the OS, so, he ask me to do it again but this time pressing just F12 to get the boot menu, he ask me to pick CD/DVD boot, the system didnt run any test ( i guess because there was not a CD inside), he ask me if i changed the OS which came original with my system, i said yes, and he said than maybe its because of that, because the OS that i've installed is not an original copy of win7 ultimate, that have some relevance on it ? What about that check-up test ?

Its really hard to explain friend, is like touching a sinuous surface, you can feel it if you go up and down, i think and almost sure this is static, and just happen with the AC plugged . .
