    Hello. So as i expected.......... i have some problems....

    if i want to sw-off my r2, i click start->shut down then screen with "loging out" appears then "shutting down" and then screen goes black but all the fans are still working and all the LED's (incl keyboard)...and it stays like that with no PWR off so i am forced to hold pwr button :((((

    Plz help me :)

    Go to control panel and power options, there customize your power plan (high performance) in the list you'll find 'when I press the power button' and change the action to 'shut down'.

    Or simply press the start button and choose shut down from the list (where you have restart, log off etc.)

    Yes i did that,, and it didn't help.

    Windows update was the root cause, screw up the whole system so i had to use respawn.

    Window update really sucks btw

    I don't believe that's a prob with your lappy as much as the windows installation. It's hanging before the final shutdown commands are executed. I don't know the precise cause of this but I suggest either a restore to a point where this behavior didn't exist...or restoration from a backup set that didn't exhibit this behavior or (the Nuclear Option) a windows reinstall.

    Maybe It's 'hanging' to finish configuring the updates. Definitely It's not the laptop.

    Katalin...I'm pretty sure update configuration happens BEFORE the screen goes black. Good thought though.
