So, I've gotten my R3 to be able to type and show files names in Korean a few months ago on Home Premium, and it's been working fine for the most part. However occasionally file names will show up as boxes and typing in korean keyboard will be unusable without restarting 1-2 times, and this has increased in frequency over the past few weeks.

This usually happens after I occasionally get a "Black screen,"(The ones where sound works but the display seems to die) or games and programs occasionally crashing and forced shutdowns.

Has any other user had an issue like this? Please share input or experiences, so I can fix this without relying on Dell. They're helpful when they can be, but most of the time spend time doing useless diagnostics, repairs, updates, and things that never matter.

Something you're mentioning doesn't make sense. What OS version are you using? Did you by any chance upgrade from Vista? Foreign language support is available on all variants of Vista. Microsoft changed this in Windows 7 by limiting foreign language support to Win 7 Ultimate. Did you do other things to attempt to circumvent this? You can get into problems like the one you're describing if you do. Also, you shouldn't have to change the Format in the 'Region and Language' setting from 'English (United States)' in order to view and enter Korean using Microsoft's IME. I'm betting there's more going on here...

What exactly have I mentioned that isn't making sense? Not to be rude, but it doesn't even sound like you own or know much about R3's since you think I "might" have upgraded from Vista, when all R3's have w7 Home Premium on stock OS settings on their site.

Against my better judgment after such a rude response... Yes I own an R3. Find my posts, and you'll be more convinced of that fact. And yes, you are not making sense because Microsoft only supports foreign languages in Windows 7 Ultimate. So how is it when you are using Home Premium that you even got Korean to "work"? See how I would be confused? And clearly the R3s shipped with Win 7 so I was assuming I didn't have the complete picture -- like you backup/restored to dissimilar hardware (eg: old laptop on vista to R3 and then upgrade to Win 7) only to find out Korean support was lost. Trust me...I was pissed when I upgraded from Vista Home Premium to Win 7 Home Premium on my tablet and lost Korean support only to find Microsoft yanked it. If you don't believe me, Microsoft even indicates the lack of foreign language support on their product comparison page here. But no...you chose to be a complete d*ck to someone that was only trying to help another R3 owner -- and a fellow Korean at that. Nice attitude man...nice...
