Forensic Analysis of my R2 Build Sheet from 2/9/10

In an effort to understand my own system better I have posted a copy of my build sheet from my order last year. I have questions embedded into the line description in certain places. For me this is not easy to read, more of invoice with order numbers than a full description. This is the closest thing I could find on the Dell website that describes my system. Am I looking in the right place? Please offer any information you feel appropriate. Most of you sound like you have a computer science degree. If you are so inclined copy and paste the build sheet and make comments on what you think is most important. Any insight would be awesome. I feel a bit like a mental midget right now thanks.

Generic bluetooth card. It is good, no need to upgrade this.

Correct, that is the model info of your bluetooth card

This is your CPU. You can upgrade this to 940xm, but I recommend the 920xm instead as it is the same chip, but with a lower multiplier (you can manually overclock 920xm to match 940xm)

That is the intel 6300 ultimate 3x3 wireless wifi card. This is the best wifi card available, you cant upgrade that.

This is a middle end screen. The ranks are 1200p RGB LED > 2x CCFL 1200p > 2x CCFL 900p.
That screen is ok if you do not have major screenbleeding issues on it.

That is a SODIMM 4gb ram module. you are maxxed out in ram slot number one.

Internal DVD drive, this can be upgraded to bluray, but I think it is unnecessary to do that

You can maximum put in 8 gb ram in m17x r2. This slot can be upgraded with a 4gb module

6970m is not supported by the r2 yet (someone correct me if Im wrong). You can upgrade to crossfire 5870m though

This is a 500gb 7.2k rpm drive. You can upgrade by putting in one more 500gb disc and run raid 0, or put in a ssd. A single SSD is faster than a raid 0 setup.

I cant figure out this either, I guess it is for your wifi card
