Hey guys , i was wondering how can i make full use of the two Nvidia 280m GTX GPU's with newer games?

I'm using the 197.84 Beta Drivers from Dell, because newer drivers (Verde or Dell) cause BSOD's , Freezes or Restarts.

Newer games are not SLI-optimised (For example Dead Space 2) Is there a way to make them work under SLI without installing newer unstable drivers?

    Thanks :D

Edit : By the way , i have tried the SLI profile updater from NV Website but it won't work as i'm running on drivers older than R256.

Edit 2 : Anyone tried out this EVGA SLI Enhancement? http://www.evga.com/articles/00463/

Try 266.58, they seems to be stable for me so far (2 days).

I'm with Tyranus...using 266.58 for about 5 days now and they seem pretty stable. No BSOD's at all. A couple of video crashes...but nothing that can't be explained by the OC that I am still fine tuning. Overall I like them.

I have installed the drivers. I think you were right , it seems these are incredibly stable. Looks like Nvidia finally fixed the problems causing BSOD's and Freezes.

yes, I can confirm, I just had a red screen of death (RSOD)... so they are not 100% stable.. rolled back to P06

Red Screen of Death? o_O Never heard of something like that before. Anyway no problems yet , but it really pisses me off that we can't get the same performance with P06.

I did a LOT of work on my R1 to get the best performance and stability (before I got it replaced with an R2) and this is what I found.

--Use dell drivers (either the P06 or the modded ones that batboy linked)
--Stay away from the stock nvidia ones (any verde ones) for now unless you like random red/blue screens etc..
--the evga link you provided will not work (I tried) and neither will other ones I found.

The best thing is to make custom profiles yourself
This takes a lot of time and effort but is the best option you have at this time.
If you could find what sli settings the newer drives use for the games you own you could try to recreate them manually but this will be hit or miss since the newer drives handle the vid cards a bit differently

    Just my experience

Thanks for the advice. Rolling back to P06. (I got a probably flash related black screen)

Edit : It's also a shame BatBoy can't update profiles anymore , it was really a save ticket. Now we're all stuck with this i guess...
