Has anyone with the 580M tried running Furmark? The FPS drops each time the card reaches 62 degrees celsius.

Furmark runs smoothly on my other laptop with the 460m which is leading me to believe that there is something wrong with my 580m or laptop in general.

FPS drops from 41 to 5 every time the graphics card reaches a temperature of 62-64 degrees resulting in a graph that looks like /\/\/\ where as the 460 has a nice curve

Throttle stop is a CPU tool, not GPU. The throttling is a well documented issue with power hog programs like furmark. The GPU will run fine in games.
