    Hi

I downloaded furmark 1.91 to see if i have any throttling.

However, when i ran furmark, the renderer only detects my integrated card and not my GTX 580m.

How do i select my card to run the test? The test gives only 10 fps when i run it so i believe it has to be the integrated card..

(Someone correct me if im wrong)

Try going to the nvidia control panel and see if you can add Furmark to always use the High Performance GPU.

    i did that.

When i run the burn in test, i can see that the OpenGL rendering is my gtx580m. Its running at around 15 fps pretty constant. I have msaa set off at 1920*1080. I can also see that gpu 1 running was the 580m, Si is that correct?

However when i start the furmark application on my desktop it shows Intel HD graphics 2000 on the man page under renderer before i run the test. But as i run the burn in it shows opengl as 580m..strange..

What settings should i set before i run the test to see if it throttles? Not even sure if i am doing it right? lol

I have a score of 947??? so low??

I'm not really sure to be honest. I haven't used furmark often, and I have the integrated chip disabled, so I'm always full force nvidia card.

under primary display i have auto, sg, peg, igfx. Default was set to sg. i changed it to peg and upon bootup it was pizellated screen lol! i immediately changed it back.

Odd. mine's set to PEG and I have no issues. Try setting it to PEG again, and reinstalling the nvidia driver.

    (a) change Primary Display from SG to PEG, and
    (b) change Internal Graphics from Enabled to Disabled.

On first reboot, it sometimes has trouble finding the 580M driver. Reboot generally solves; worst case, reinstall the driver.

yup had to reinstall the drivers. A reboot still did not detect my 580m. Will try running furmark this evening. Not sure why SG mode works initially.
    Thanks!
