I havent cleaned it or anything since I got it about 9 months ago and i think its starting to get hotter so im wondering is there anyway to openup and clean in and not void garuantee or is 90C ok?

When i only use it for internet streaming videos etc its at 60C or so.

    Thanks in advance.

You won't void the warranty. To pull the GPUs, you must pull the hinge cover (part with the Alien head on it) that is held in by two screws in the underside of the laptop directly opposite the hinge cover. Gently pry in the area around the 'END' key to dislodge it. Be careful here as there's a ribbon cable connecting the motherboard and the hinge cover. Then pull the keyboard that's held in by five tiny screws, plus a big and a small ribbon cable. After that you'll be able to see the GPUs, but you've still got to pull the two black brackets that are held in by two screws each. Gently remove the CrossFire cable from the left-hand card. Two screws hold each GPU into the laptop. You don't need to pull any of the screws that are holding the heatsink to the GPU. Both will come out as a unit once you pull the two screws.

To pull the CPU fan, just pull the bottom cover off and remove the screws and power connector. This will expose the heatsink. If you haven't cleaned it in 9 months, there's bound to be a ton of junk in there. You can also find tear-down videos on the web. Good luck!

Moo has a good video guide to remove the gpu's if you just want to clean up the sinks/fans etc without repasting. The gpu will come out with the heatsink still attatched so if you dont want to repaste, you can just clean up and pop it back in and see how your temps are....Worth a shot before you do that in my book....obviously, if you want to, may as well repaste while your in there if you are comfy with doing it.

    Have a look

Thanks for all the help :). I think I will check the video out since i have no experince with the inside of computers and have never done anything like this before. I dont wanna screw something up destroy the comp and void the warranty at the same time hehe. But if its just removing and and putting back screws and remove dust it shouldnt be a problem i hope.

Its not that hard - just be gentle, patient and careful. I would also recommend investing in some kit such as an anti-static wrist band and maybe a mat to work on if you are opening up your system. It will prevent any Electromagnetic discharge that can damage sensitive circuitry (such as when you are holding the gpu card itself). Many will say not to bother with such things but I am a practitioner of better safe than sorry.
