Hello guys,
Yesterday with my keen observation noticed these lines showing up on a few Wallpapers & a very very light flicker with this sample wall.
Here are the photos from my mobile phone.. PEG mode now Safe mode.
Didn't notice anything in games like this but just noticed with a few wallpapers switching with specific black tone, no issues with FPS, clocks, temps, Firestrike, drivers..
Again this doesn't show up with HDMI output at all, From my basic electronics understanding if there's a faulty VRAM or core the issue should be prevalent across all the video output paths right ? like HDMI and DP ports...
Any thoughts ?

Had an issue with HDMI output, switching from RGB limited to full/ ycbcr444 fixed it.

How did you switch from RGB limited to ycbcr 4:4:4 Chroma subsampling..? -
Here's an update on the situation, thanks to woodzstack his post is quoted below,
And the lines are not visible with all colors, except a few dark low contrast colors. Cannot notice in games with that impact either, will have to double check.
Benchmarks are 100% fine, 3 runs today morning 2AM with updated drivers and the results are as expected, the new 364.51 boosts the scores too. No Temp increase either, clocks are also fine, couldn't notice in 3DMark Firestrike either.
Update 2 :
I did a full teardown, had a look at the LCD cable - LVDS and It was tight. Since the HDMI doesn't exhibit any like that, I'm sure that GPU is fine, Time to upgrade the 60Hz to 120Hz (need an eDP cable this time) or buy another LVDS cable, guessing the cable might be worn down by the hinges...
No cash ATM, so I will use it as it is, If it deteriorates I'll proceed to the either of them...
I'm just worried about the mobo only at this point now, hope the LVDS / eDP ports are fine.Last edited: Mar 30, 2016 -
Update 3: Mar 30
Had a few glitching like white bands with broad width show up and they leave, This time I had the same thing happened and bam display went full grey - was listening to youtube playlist and the audio was fine had to power shutdown & upon switching ON the machine recovered and Windows didn't say anything about BSOD or etc. Did a quick DDU and 3DMark FS and the scores were as expected. -
As you find it in another thread:

Update : It was doing the same screen flicker and bam one single color and all, but this time I adjusted the panel and It was fine for a sec but it did again and again, repeat and finally settled but now changing panel doesn't make the display exhibit either of the odd behavior.
Broken on LVDS or LCD ordering...I will go with LVDS first since the iGPU output is fine. Very sad for this to happen on my machine, first 860M dies and now this prob which is extremely hard to troubleshoot. I just want my MoBo safe...Last edited: Apr 16, 2016Papusan likes this. -
Update, June 5:
Today morning the display was flickering and upon changing the screen lid the display was coming and going off to wierd colors etc, Tried multiple reboots didn't work. Had to perform a full teardown to the display and after installing the new LVDS the screen issue went away for now hope it stays like that but the lines which I had experienced are still there unfortunately (I repeat these are not showing up on the HDMI out), I'll get an 120Hz panel or 60Hz later on.
I guess the LVDS cable was worn out / contact issue (at the back of the LCD panel).
GPU render related or Panel w.r.to GPU?
