    GPU-Z reports 100% fan state constantly? - 580M

    I applied the OEM A02 VBios update yesterday but didn't check to see if I still have this issue before:

    Anyone else get this and has a fix? The fan is definitely not on 100% when reporting as such...

    That fan reading is wrong. It is meant for desktop GPUs with an actual fan attached to it. The fan in your laptop does not come up on GPUz. Don't worry. Nothing is broken.

    Use a tool that reads the EC like HwInfo instead.

    Ahh, I see, thanks! Any recommendations for a good graphical monitoring program where I can see true CPU/GPU fan speeds as well as frequencies, voltages, etc.? HWMonitor is text only and also mis-reports fan duty cycle.
