Hello, is there a way to sharpen things on the LCD? The edges on the game looks bad, and the textures doesnt look good.

It does look nothing like this when connecting the AV chords to a Yoke TV. Look actually looks alot better....

Anything Im doing wrong?? please help...

Pretty much no, the thing is that the HDMI in makes your screen become a monitor. No way to tweak it via video card.

This is all console limitations, it most likely looks worse because you can see every detail on a closer screen.

Which console are you using? If you are using a PS3, then it is outputting the game in 720p because the game renders at that resolution even if your PS3 is set to 1080p. It may look better on hi def TVs because the TV is upscaling 720p to it's native resolution using it's scaler which might be quite good. As far as I know, the HDMI input in the M17x doesn't have any dedicated scaler technology therefore any non-native resolution is mediocre.

i use an HDMI selected and have all ports linked to an external BenQ monitor, and receive great quality... as good as PS3 can render at east. And as said by others the R4 screen does not have a built in scaler, this was verified thru CCC

With that said, do you know if any other Alienware (M18x and the new ones) have a built in scaler, or everyone is out of luck?
