Just checked the Alienware.com website. It's no longer 300 bucks more than the 6990m.

Just thought some of you would like to know.

    Ohh Nvidia

I wouldn't mind getting a 580M for my R2, but I doubt that lower price is going to carry over to the aftermarket. Not at least anytime soon.

Hey BigTonyMan, has someone figured out how to make an ATI card work with the 120hz 3D screen in the R3? Or do you not have that option on your R3? Reason I ask is because I just sold a 6990M to an R3 owner who was previously running an Nvidia setup, and it wouldn't work. He ended up having to resell it.

i only have the 50htz setup so it won't be a problem, but the 120htz screen is still only compatible with nvidia cards as far i know do to hardware limitations. :( there is a thread from back in march that addresses this in detail i believe.
