So i've got a GTX 660M for my r4. Why do my games(DoTA 2, Crysis 2, BF3 only run at 400Mhz when the in GPUz it says default clock is 835Mhz? And what's with Turbo 950Mhz? I'm confused. Memory clock runs fine though(1250Mhz). It's the core clock i'm pondering. Any reasons?

Anyone else tried overclocking the GTX660M?

Check to make sure that you don't have some sort of battery mode or power saver mode enabled. It could downclock the gpu if you do.

i've checked the graphics performance in AC mode. It says maximum performance. Umm, what else?

Hm, I had that problem with ATI cards. Powerplay was sometimes the cause, and once it was actually a bad AC adapter. Have you gotten any earnings while booting up about your adapter?

Does that mean you're running DOTA2 fine now?

Hadn't you reinstalled the drivers in your last thread without success?

The boost feature is an internal overclocking feature. The keplers have a turbo-boost feature. It has its own internal algorithms which determine when to overclock...using factors like temps and power usage

Nope, tried nvidia inspector and afterburner. the program says it applies the clock but during stress/stability tests the gpu never clocks above stock 835. might need a kind hearted geek to unlock the vbios for us i think....

First post. I have the same issues as you :( But I think it's an Alienware issue. After hours of researching, I found this http://tof.canardpc.com/view/a27daf88-2e03-44a5-8553-382fe61d7ec7.jpg. The Asus models with the 660m can overclock it. They are also running version 296.44. Do you guys think our drivers which is at version 296.39 is the reason why we are having this issue? Thanks :D

:( im not sure what the issue is over why we can't overclock our gtx 660m. I have a feeling the drivers are the cause perhaps. Ah well.. let's hope someone out there will solve it. xD

1085Mhz on the core? I wanna see some benchmarks for that!

Was that guy using a different vbios?

You guys just need to learn how to overclock... Maybe you need to enable it on Afterburner? Cause I had to for the 7970M.

It's odd that are still no Verde drivers, beta or WHQL, for the 660M on the Nvidia driver site.

I am pretty sure it's just a driver issue. Here's the benchmark. http://tof.canardpc.com/view/f6e09dc5-7a00-4b74-bc3f-9d8507cf353b.jpg. I got the benchmark info from http://forum.notebookreview.com/asu...-ivy-bridge-660m-review-owners-lounge-32.html. Tried afterburner, no luck :( My graphic score is around 2050

Beta drivers are out for the 600M.. apparently there's no driver for the Alienware r4. :( this is not fair!!!

I'm just wondering if we got the Asus vbios would that work? Or maybe edit the .INf of the Asus nvidia driver?

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

EDIT: got the asus drivers running by modifying the NVAM.inf file runs nice so far....... however no oc. Therefore it must take a vbios mod/flash to get the most out of our little 660's. Gonna see if I can source out a bios dump. If anybody can get access to one, I would love to take a look and see what needs to be done to put it on our card.... so please post :)

using throttlestop 5 and msi afterburner.
anyway to get higher on gpu? 72 degre furmark
    3100mhz 970/2800mhz gives these scores.

I've tried Afterburner. the software did push it above stock clock but when running stress tests, gpu clock remains stock.
