    Any guides?

Did dell officially allow this card to be used in this machine?

How are drivers, do you need to mod inf's?

    Does 3D work?

PS: I am looking at a 2gb dell card.

    Hi,

No official support in the R3. You do need to mod drivers but if you have the 120hz display you do not need to do any bios modding. Driver mods (inf) available from laptopvideo2go.

No 3D as dell haven't approved it and nobody has found a way around this. 120hz works fine. The 680m was introduced with the R4 so for me 3D works.

I can recommend the 680m as a good and reliable card. Runs cool and has great overclocking potential :D.

I got the 2gb just to be sure my 3D works, for you either card is good and the Clevo 4gb does not have any overclocking limit in the vBIOS. No driver differences.

    Good luck.

As MickyD1234 says, it'll work. But you'll need modified INF files for drivers to install and the 3D will be lost. The max supported card for this machine is the 580m.
