Today after a couple of Overwatch games, when i logged out in Windows there came some blue pixel/lines om the screen, so i pushed and held power Button untill it switched OFF, but when i powered up the machine sound like it boots up, but the screen is just black, i connected an external monitor but it was the same, i then reset CMOS and it booted up as normal, i then ran DDU and booted in to BIOS and switched from SG to PEG and reboot but then the problem is back, it sounds like it boots but theres nothing on the screen...... Is my card allready dead?

FYI: Its an M17X R4 running Win10 in UEFI Boot

Sounds like it's roached. 780Ms started to drop...you're the 3rd guy this month. Black screen on boot is a dead ringer for graphics card failure, meaning windows cannot initialized hardware accelerated graphics.

Ohh, That laptop just want me to suffer......i upgraded that card a year ago, and it hasnt played much, and in that year i have replaced mainboard and LCD display after the dreaded 8 beeps, and now the GPU is toast. Evil piece of machinery, thank god my m18x just keep on trucking without any issues.

At least yours boots with the card in the system
mine shorted out and the laptop won't even turn on until the GPU is removed.

I'm having the exact same issues as you. I was previously getting a constant 8 beeps, but after reflowing the gpu i'm now just getting a black screen. Hope there is some way to fix this without a replacement.

My friend has an identical model laptop as mine with a gtx880m so I'm gonna see what I can come up with.
Does anybody know if you can get these things to boot off an external gpu plugged into the mini PCI-E port? -
