    GTX 880M in an Alienware M17x R2?

    So I was wondering if the card is compatible with the notebook. i've seen conflicting posts, some say no others yes.

    @Raidriar any input?

    It is not compatible, not with the Dell 880M anyway. Could never get past a solid green screen even with audio disabled after drivers were installed, can only access in safe mode/software accelerated video. Clevo 880M may give different result, but I very much doubt it will work. Best card is still the Clevo 8970M

    So even the clevo version wouldn't work then.
