    Ahoy Pirates,

As the name says, I am finally pulling the plug on the purchase of a GTX980m and so far Eurocom and HIDevolution are the best options that take paypal payment and can ship to Germany.

I contacted both companies and both of them don't provide free shipping on RMAs and both refused to provide factory flashed Prema vBios. Eurocom is around 100 euros more expensive than HIDevolution but that isn't a deal breaker for me if Eurocom has better rep around the forums.

From your experiences which one should I pick?

Did you look for other vendors? @woodzstack might provide what you need. He accepts PayPal and maybe will install a modded vbios.
I don't know about the ASIC quality of Eurocom or HIDevolution , but woodzstack cards are top notch, usually above the high average.

@woodzstack usually tests the card before it goes out and they can flash it for you with the prema vbios.

Yup, just an extra level of testing, its actually done before the card is fully out of warehouse too, though testing is NOT done in a laptop, because that would add wear and tear. My cards are actually NEW, and NEVER used. Not pulled from a laptop. That's why they are a tiny bit extra premium compared to some others, though in the end, at stock speeds and installation what's the real difference (aside from my pricing being low too).

If you like OVERCLOCKING I recommend my cards specifically. I've seen, better then average ability to do this, from all the people who submitted thier examples from various vendors, with my cards. That's really where a lot of the reputation i had came from. Few odd people hitting 30-40% Overclocking ranges. (That is extreme examples too, not exactly typical everyday, but it does show the cards CAN handle it, in the right situations.)

Yeah we have a team of a few guys who do the bios/vbios stuff, im not an expert myself on that end per se - but I know what I need as needed, when needed (I do not program them myself, as in using that phoenix bios editor tool as an example) but our ASIC is usually 69.9% lowest I've seen and as high as 87.4% I've seen. Usually 90% of cards range in the 75% area.with many going higher, and very very few going lower if ever.

you definitely need it for 362.00 as that seems to be the last "decent" driver before the mess that was 364.xx.

I used to buy from HIDEvolution until they stopped responding to me, they were my choice for years. Not in the last 2 years though, I'd prefer to go Sager or Eurocom directly mind you, and Eurocom has quicker and better service out of the three, and is much older. Though Sager seems MUCH more corporate like, and impersonal, I feel dealing with them can be like dealing with DELL. They do not budge as much as they used to, when you want a deal, like they got too large and commercial which does imply they are successful, some people prefer that service, but if we're talking about specific parts and special case support and upgrades, then well, thats different these days - this is where the smaller guys like me and other single guys shine, like smaller guys, who haven't gotten larger yet. HIDEvolution was small when i preferred them, now they're larger. Even the pricing has increased. Don't get me wrong, HID set an example of how to stage buying a laptop like did other Clevo vendors, and now that they redid thier website and threw tons of money at it, it even looks like a standalone brand, even though they're just a reseller with a few people. They used to be even smaller, and had nothing. I hope to oneday do the same, if things go well. Concentrate more on the support and customization then mass marketing, gives flexibility to keep doing what I like and be great at it.

Well, 11.9% on the GPU and 12% on the VRAM but i think it could be classified as a "mild" OC.

if you get over 10,000 in firestrike your good, after that, on a laptop, you might as well just be using a desktop IMO.

I also recommend purchase from woodzstack flexible, good person, genuine & quality cards (tested, flashed with vBIOS needed per requirement of the Laptop, Also can be used with Prema vBIOS v2.0 too) And remember the Clevo X brace needs to be fit properly with some tight screw down but the plus point is being perfectly aligned heatsink with GPU die.

The only thing is as a standard practice I use all Clevo heatsinks, which means the screws match Clevo system, but I also provide the extra screws too (thats not the point of what I'm going to say) the DELL heatsinks and MSI heatsinks use different sized screws, so people always have to remove them when they use my cards. I have DELL X brackets and such, but I have so few, and do not buy them in bulk, so I have to charge for them, as such I usually avoid even mentioning them, but technically it's not too much of an issue, those can be genuinely the same as your system uses too, for the price of the X bracket, otherwise usually I include the ones we use for free, in the price.

Anyhow, I appreciate the kind words you guys say about my service, and business. I sell laptops, if ever anyone wanted to know.
whats the GPU score though ? it must be at least over 10K or at the VERY LEAST 9500, no ?
if it is not, you know, something is holding your cards performance back.

might be the CPU but i'll double check to be sure.

EDIT: In all honesty i confuse the combined score and the gpu score. so if you mean i should get over 9.5-10k in the GPU category and not the combined score then i think we're in on the same page.

I can get about 12k in the GPU score in 3d mark 11.

EDIT 2: Win 10, nvidia 362.00, my OC'd 980M gets about 10,800 in the gpu section of firestrike. let me know if that's what you mean?
