Hey guys, finally back from school so I can enjoy my life lol. However I'm having some annoying problems with my M17x now. Even with the A04 update my latency is still incredibly high. My Graphic cards 2x280m don't seem to be working properly and I get alot of stuttering in alot of games, including less demanding games. One of the cards also has a large sometimes 15c or more variation from the other card. Finally, the computer will not go into sleep or Hibernation mode, all lights and processes continue to run whether manually set from the start, Power button set or lid close. These problems are getting very irritating... I have the R1 Btw, any suggestions?

Call Dell, tell them you are having DPC latency issues and you want a fix. Technically there is none, you may end up with a replacement R2, like I did.

Those very same issues along with my constant power problems helped me get a glorious R2 as well.

    Latency issues belong here:

For DPC Latency (audio popping/skipping), there is a fix. As you already mentioned BIOS A04 + either the 197.31 driver or the NV Beta Driver. Both of these drivers include the fix NV implemented to keep the driver out of a DPC state.

As to 'stuttering' (intermittent FPS dropoff), see this thread:

If you are not seeing a response from technical support (after calling and starting a support case), see this thread:

    Thanks.
