with bf3 it cms in stereo

i changed the audio in BF3 to home cinema
i looked thru many forums but cudnt get a solution
i also went thru documents and chnged the settings etc

Just a random suggestion; did you try setting the SP/DIF output as the default audio device in windows? I've seen some games that refuse to use any driver other that the default.
No optical device to try it on :(

Edit: where I am coming from :) ; I had a game that would not use my usb headset properly and I ended up with windows sounds coming out of the headset but the game out of the speakers

I want to say I read somewhere that the way they encode the audio in PC games you can't get surround from digital outputs (looked myself for my desktop). You can only get surround from analog surround systems. Can't remember where I read that though.

Movies are encoded digitally so you get the surround there.
