    Problem Description:

The laptop screen works fine and everything is working fine when using the laptop monitor. When i connect my Alienware laptop to two monitors using HDMI wires, one is plugged into the HDMI Port & the other is plugged into the Display Port, when i turn on my laptop.

The laptop screen light will turn on with nothing on the screen, i can see the wifi light and hard drive light are on and flashing, after a few sec, the screen will turn off (but the laptop is still on), the screen will come back on with nothing on the screen but the wifi and hard drive lights are not turned off.

if i turn off my laptop and disconnect both monitors, and turn the laptop back on it will load right into windows without problems, now when i connect both monitors again only the HDMI Port is working, the Display Port does not work, nothing shows in the device manager at all.

does anyone know how to fix this problem at all

Contact Eurocom Support for help if you suspect it is videocad related.

They have a support request ticketing system you can use, and that is how you get a response.

As for your issue, I've never had experience using both DP and HDMI at same time. I think the Kepler cards did surround but the Maxwell are screwed up on Alienware to a slight degree.

It could actually be your DP port is damaged. Motherboard issues. Or the DP port simply doesn't load until it has a loader for it. HDMI is much more compatible in so many ways, DP is still having issues, I did notice when i had HDMI plugged in it would show the bios and POSTing screens on the HDMI's montior but very very rarely would it work on a fresh cold boot like that for the DP ports.

Anyways, I really have no idea what your issues is, would need to know more, and still no guarantee, but thought to respond so you don't think people are ignoring you. Most of us probably have no clue what to say. Your issue seems vague in some degree. Maybe explain more where your coming from, and what you were aiming to do, etc..

Also, it appears this is your first thread, first messages, first everything, so welcome to NBR, get an Avatar going for your profile, stay a while, participate etc.. great crew going on here, everyone is welcome and all, just be patient though.
