    I was wondering if the r3 supports some kind of headphone surround sound virtualization similar to creatives cmss or Dolby Headphone? Also does the spdif out support anything like Dolby digital live or a dts digital sound conversion from the analog source? Or even through the hdmi?

    i highly doubt it, although the IDT control panel does have the options for ? widening of the audio fields.....give that a shot

    otherwise MS media player has the dolby panel in the media player
