    Is this a good deal? Or should I try and go with an Asus which includes a backpack and mouse for $1690

    For not even 200$ difference i'd stick with the AW.
    reason: better warranty and looks

    @OP
    That is a very good deal. I would have pulled the trigger.

    @katalin
    I agree with you there. Here in EU an alienware cost more than double of Asus because Dell inflated the prices here.

    If you dont mind me asking, what epp discount percentage did you get? They've been telling me that it's changed recently and that all student, business discounts are standardized to 2%.

    Yep, it's true. I asked if I could combine discounts but the guy said no. The price I got was because he checked with his manager to see if he could, but I was only able to get another $150 off.

    Ah, how did you manage that?

    150 is basically an 8% discount lol. I was only able to get them to take off $100, however I purchased from the Canadian site and got the 580. Taxes here are high.

    My rig is 2000, and 2250ish after tax

    Specs: i7 2720qm | 1920x1080 Display | 320GB Hard Drive | 4gb RAM | 2GB Nvidia 580M | Killer 3x3 Wireless Card

    I just told him I wasn't changing my mind about my specs, and I couldn't afford the price. Also I kept bringing up the Asus model.
