Well I knoticed my fans going up and down slighly, ever 1min or so for 5 secs. I checked gpu-z and one of the cards clocks goes from 150 to 700 then back, browsing net etc! Is this normal and what can be done?
Other card willl stay at 150.
    Thnx guys

It depends what you are browsing. If there is a video ad or something that uses the video card then your GPU will be used.

It's pretty much anything, just on this and tanning to load my computer etc! But would it load up to 700? It doesn't stay there for long before going back down to 150

If you're using Aero, GPU gets hit a lot. Try Win7 basic scheme and see if it happens.

Does your GPU-Z report crossfire as enabled or disabled? Mine is saying "disabled (crossfire available)" But in CCC it is enabled... im confused!

I have this annoying problem aswell,
When Im running on the 9400M it is nowhere near as bad, but back on my 280m's it upclocks and downclocks constantly, It seems that scrolling a webpage up+down is enough to cause it to upclock.

So to stop it i have disabled powermizer and run on 9400m whenever im not gaming for a while.
Is there a way to disable the powermizer equivalent for ATI cards, I believe its called powerplay or something? This may be your answer.

The up and down-clocking of the cards is normal even during browsing. ATI has the PowerPlay feature, Nvidia - PowerMizer that manage clocks depending on the load.
Many times however, drivers cause the clocks to get stuck on high/low.
I wouldn't pay too much attention to it as long as the performance is ok and the cards downclock themselves when idle. That's what they should normally do.
